Scholarship

Superior Wrestling Club (SWC) offers scholarships to help off-set registration fees for children in our community, who without financial assistance would be unable to participate in our program. SWC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with limited funding available for scholarships. By completing this application it is not guaranteed that you will receive assistance, or that 100% of the fee will be covered. Applications are reviewed on a case by case basis, and the amount of assistance will be determined by the Board of Directors and number of applicants. If awarded a scholarship it is only valid for the current season. If assistance is required in a subsequent year, the family will need to reapply.

Athlete(s) must be in good standing with the program relating to past year accounts and all outstanding balances must be paid in full. Player must be known as a responsible and dependable individual who shows sportsmanship, ethical conduct, integrity, and courtesy towards the Superior Wrestling Club, its Board Members, and Coaches.

If awarded a scholarship, parents are required to volunteer at least 2 hours at both the high school Spartan Classic Tournament and the Adam Long Memorial Youth Tournament OR Volunteer for 2 hours at one of the tournaments and secure a Sponsorship from a local business (see the board for a sponsorship form).

One of the following must be included to be considered for scholarship (email documentation to superior_wrestling@yahoo.com):

  • Income documentation (i.e. previous year tax returns, current paystubs)
  • State or Federal assistance documentation
  • Letter from school, social worker, youth community center worker, or other social services
    representative
  • Letter of hardship
